LAKE PLACID TRAINING CAMP

Train, sleep, eat, live like an Olympian!


An all inclusive training and education camp staying at the Training Center in beautiful Lake Placid, NY.  This camp is appropriate is for all abilities and will be geared towards athletes preparing for half and full distance triathlons.  The camp will include training in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains, swimming in the pristine Mirror Lake, sessions using the OTC fitness rooms with expert coaches...3 meals each day plus room!  

Take this opportunity to see and feel what it is like to live and train like an Olympian!

 All workouts and group discussions will be run by professional coaches Todd Wiley and Ken Modica helping you improve on your swim, bike, run.

In order to stay at the training center upon registration you will be asked to fill out the OTC user agreement, conduct an online SafeSport course and have an NCSI background check completed.




Sample Itinerary

DAY 1

3pm – athlete’s arrival, check in, room assignments 

4pm – run over view followed by a short 4-6mile get to know each other run

5pm – optional light ride after your run 

6pm – dinner cafeteria

7pm – camp over view/ Q & A


DAY 2

7-8am – breakfast - cafeteria

8:30am – BIKE (option 1= 30miles) (option 2 = 40miles) - Short transition run after the ride (2-3miles)

12am – lunch - cafeteria

1-3pm – strength training/run session 

2pm – check in of anyone staying Fri-Mon

3pm – easy run to Mirror Lake if you didn’t run after your ride/open water swim (discussion)

5:30pm – dinner (meet in cafeteria)

7pm – group discussion


DAY 3

7-8am – breakfast (cafeteria)

8:30am – long ride (option 1 = 40-45mi)  (option 2 = 80+miles) 

1:00pm – lunch (cafeteria)

2pm – strength training/Q and A session

3pm – optional short run 30-60min/or swim

5pm – dinner - cafeteria

7pm – group discussion

DAY 4

6:30am - light breakfast meet at 6:45 for group photo

7am – long run (option 1 – 8-10miles)  (option 2 – 13-15miles)

11:30am – lunch (cafeteria)

1pm – open water swim discussion/depart
